Going to the vegan festival in Hafnarfjördur I decided to have a vegan day as well 🙂 ✌After a short stop near Selfoss at the grave from a famous chess player (there is a black and white knight figure at the grave), I went to Hafnarfjördur to the vegan festival with vegan food and nice music, even Sóley played there, went to Reykjavik had vegan food and a relaxed evening, and found a nice place to stay, Reykjavik was almost booked out, except some crazy expansive rooms …

Day 39 / 30
Woke up yesterday with small birds looking at their mirror image of my car windows. Good place for some Yoga in the morning. After a short stop by a nice lava tube, I hiked to this amazing hot river with about 39-48°c, this place got quite popular, but no tourist busses, it’s good you have to hike there, and there are enough places in the river to relax and soak, yet, stayed there a few hours 😀

Discovered a new area with a geothermal area, a steaming pipe with a hot pool side effect of 36 °C and a beautiful quite lava moss landscape.

Camping in a vulcano crater, best equipped camping place in Iceland so far 🙂
Good island to enjoy time and hike up some volcanos and cliffs with great views in every direction.

Day 35 / 26
Again great weather even without the strong wind from the day before.
Went to Heimaey today and a had another great sunny day with some short hikes and watching puffins and meeting the cutest sheep 🙂

Day 34 / 25
perfect sunny day (but with very strong wind) to hike up one of Iceland’s most active volcanoes, incredible strong wind on that day, especially on the top, almost blown away, but awesome 🙂

Day 33 / 24
Two sheep woke me up early in the morning, probably doing some scratching under my car and licking some salt 😀
Great view from the highest mountain in that area in all directions 🙂

Great geothermal area to hike and an awesome hot river to relax in with about 39°c 🙂

Day 31 / 22
A short stop at historic houses before the Highlands.
Enjoyed the great hot spring in Hveravellir (37-45 °C) in the evening 🙂
